Maral Siberian reaches the height at the withers up to 150-155 cm. The body length is 250-265 cm. Weight is up to 340 kg. The horns are large – the length of the main trunks can reach 150 cm, each with 6-7 processes; a crown is not formed. The span of the horns is very often more than 1 m. As a rule, the horns of the red deer are lighter in color than the horns of European red deer, pearl is also weak.

• The opportunity to get the largest subspecies of red deer – Maral Siberian (Cervus elaphus sibiricus / Altai Wapiti (English)). In some editions, it is called the Central Asian deer (Vapiti). In Russia and Mongolia, it is called the Altai maral.
• Hunting during the rut allows the hunter to choose the best trophy.
• Still hunting and stalking on foot or by horse along the mountain slopes are usually used to hunt by calling a big game (with wabs), either early in the morning and the evening.
• The weather is usually pretty cool with temperature + 10°C/day, – 5°C/night.
